Netflix Amazon Prime Videos don't need licence from Indian Government

WCD Times – A NGO’s petition came on Delhi high court on Friday making Online Streaming platforms Like Netflix, Amazon Prime Videos, and Internet Pornography sites to remove Vulgar, Sexual, Pornography and explicit content. The court has rejected his plea, ordered to seek remedies from their Police complaint. “The central government of India said to Delhi high court that, there is no need for any online streaming service to get Licence from the Indian Government for streaming”. The Centre told a bench of Chief Justice Rajendra Menon and Justice V Kameswar Rao.

The NGO defended, that the content available was in violating of the Indian Penal Code(IPC) and the Information Technology Act. The government also told the court that “The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the content on online platforms is not being regulated by this Ministry,” 

Opinion -The Internet is a neutral body, it should not be regulated or governed by any governments of any country, in that way it stays as the Internet.
